Hail to the King, Baby!

So, I finally finished Duke Nukem Forever yesterday. Overall verdict: a good game. The game really reminds me of Postal 2, another highly controversial yet enjoyable game, mixed in with a little of Half-Life but this was just my general feel of it.

I love Duke Nukem.

Here's the contents of the collector's edition which I splashed out for. Amazing, isn't it? Not really, but some of the stuff is pretty cool. I am pretty satisfied with it.

The poker chips and dice. These are pretty cute.

Seriously? They didn't even put Duke on the King card? What a missed opportunity. :(

I love this. It's so much more detailed than I thought it'd be. <3

Just what a Duke Nukem comic should be. Babes and Ass-Kicking.

Hail to the King, Baby!

The artbook. I love this, it's a lot like the one that comes with Mortal Kombat. There's loads of concept art, renders and commentaries on the creation of the game. It's awesome.

Duke Nukem papercraft. *squeeee!*

Limited edition! Awesome!
Number 44997 out of god knows how many (probably 50000). Not so awesome.

I'm disappointed the babes weren't in the game a whole lot (would've liked to have saved a fair few or something). But other than that the game is win. The mini games are fantastic (pinball, air hockey, etc) and the multiplayer reminds me so much of Unreal Tornament and Quake. Those were damn good multiplayer games. <3

Now to go back and finish Duke Nukem 3D. I'm ashamed to say I haven't yet completed it.

Sorry, It's Been A While

Wow, it has been a LONG time since I've last posted. So, what have I been doing with myself all this time? I guess I just got bored of posting :p

But really, I got a job at TokyoToys and that's been a lot of fun. Seriously, who would not want to be surrounded by pervy statues, awesome merchandise and anime music blasting in your ears all day long. Maybe not that last part but you learn to block it out after a while.

The shop tends to get full of tourists, families and cosplayers at certain times of the year (and some of them have damn good costumes) but I find the best part of the job is when the new stock comes in. Especially when it's those cute and pervy statues.

I have to admit, I've become a bit of a figure fanatic recently.

This is how my latest setup looks (rubbish, I know but yay for Duke Nukem Forever playing in the background ^w^). I'm planning on putting two shelves above this to hold more statues (I'm now out of room for anymore T_T). I'd love to have the complete K-ON! band sitting there. I know Mio will probably end up being hardest to get hold of.

Onto my latest purchases:

My lovely, lovely Yoko. I'm happy to have finally gotten myself a Yoko statue. She's definitely one of my favourite anime characters of all time. Waiting to put my shelves up before I take her out of her box ^^

And the only game I've been looking forward to all year (well, that and Mortal Kombat). I bloody love Duke <3

So, I haven't been playing many games recently. :< I got given a copy of Blazblue: Continuum Shift which was awfully nice and while I've only played a little bit of it, it's a good game and I like it. Maining Noel at the moment (who doesn't), she's fast, easy to play and has good combos so I'm loving her.

Also, I've fallen in love with Forza 3 at the moment and rally cars. Rally cars are damn sexy. My next goal in life is to own a rally-ish type car (well, after I get my driver's license and first car: the Peugeot 206 <3). Although, I'm split between a Subaru Impreza 22B and a Lancer Evolution VI. Hmm. The Lancer seems to be winning.

And yes, I am really looking forward to Forza Motorsport 4 <333333333333333333333 I'm planning on getting a racing wheel controller. Hopefully Microsoft will release a new one for the release of the new Forza else I'll have to get that sexy Porshe 911 wheel from Fanatec.com and that is damn expensive (but so gorgeous). Plus, give it a year or two and it'll be thrown in the corner of my room next to my Guitar Hero guitar controller, Street Fighter fight stick and plastic wiimote add-ons. Poor unloved gaming controllers.

Anyway, this post is getting long and I want to go play Duke Nukem Forever so that is my update on life since I last posted.
